Above is the amount of hours I’ve been writing fiction each month. (I don’t track hours writing this blog, because it’s not my primary goal.) Am I trending the wrong way? Tweet me and tell me to shape up.

So why do I spend some much energy learning how to be productive with creative output?

I’ve fallen in love with writing fiction, which lends itself to large projects. No, I don’t have any fiction for you to read yet, save a short story and a poem or two. But really, I can’t stop writing.

Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout with some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand. George Orwell

I definitely have the sniffles at this point. Currently, I write before work and on the weekends.

I also track the number of books I’ve read.
